Space to Bloom: Yin Yoga, Hatha Flow & Sound Bath for Spring w/ Ashley Smaldino

Join Certified Yoga Therapist, Ashley Smaldino, for a Spring Equinox celebration of yoga, somatic practices and meditation. We will start with Yin Yoga to support the organ systems associated with Spring (liver & gallbladder), move into a Hatha Flow to harness the expansive energy of the season and end with a nourishing sound bath savasana to ground & receive. 

Spring represents new beginnings, growth and expansion, but, just as a flower does not grow from seed to blossom overnight, we will ease into softly opening our hearts and minds to create space for what this next season of life may bring. 

After the practice, there will be time to freewrite, so please bring a journal and something to write with. Journaling prompts will also be provided if you prefer more direction. 

Sound bath instruments include Crystal Tones Alchemy bowls, various chimes and an ocean drum.

About Ashley

Ashley is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She specializes in supporting individuals living with chronic illness and/or pain, as that has been her own life journey over the last decade and greatest teacher.

Ashley discovered yoga at the beginning of her chronic illness journey in 2012 and her mat became a place of refuge throughout a very uncertain and terrifying time. Yoga has continued to be a guiding light of hope and stability for Ashley as she navigates chronic pain alongside all of life's ups and downs and in-betweens. 

She believes wholeheartedly in the transformative power of Yoga to support our bodies, minds and entire lives because she has experienced this herself–with consistency, compassion and an open mind and heart, anything is possible!
